Liner Magazine Vol. 1
This coffee-table-worthy version of volume one can easily fit into a purse or a briefcase. Features include: interviews with models, makeup artists and entrepreneurs of all walks, as well as inspiring editorials and stories about travel, life and body image. This is the Leaps Into the Unknown Issue, all about people radically or subtly changing their lives to be happier. Fitting, as starting this magazine was a bit of a leap into the unknown for everyone involved!
This issue's contributors hail everywhere from Melbourne, Australia to Cleveland, Ohio, and editorials showcase fashion spreads shot in places as diverse as Portland, Oregon and San Diego, California. Volume one is focused on taking leaps into the unknown in every aspect of life. From editorials in fields in Oregon to desert motels to interviews with creatives of all ages taking the leap into a life they didn't imagine for themselves, you will see how people of different walks take chances.
Liner started in 2013 with the idea of creating an alternative magazine for aesthetically-driven people. We wanted to create something that made people think, feel and try new things. The magazine as a whole is about abandoning perfection and developing a personal style--not just in appearance, but in life. In the editorials, the focus is on ideas, personal style and mixing things up; not brands, not 'fashion' and not celebrity. As Jasmine Goodman puts it in her interview in this issue, "It's interesting to see someone manifest their personality in physical form. It's a glimpse into their soul. Style and fashion are two different things. Style is who you are; fashion is superficial, what's going to sell. Style can't be bought".
By buying a physical copy, you're not only getting something you can hold in your hands and flip through for inspiration in your home, but also helping contribute to and fund a very small and passionate operation that doesn't have many resources. Our team appreciates your support so much and every read is truly humbling and exciting for us!
