A few months ago Jemma, the designer of Lykke Wullf, asked me to do hair and makeup for her spring look book. The clothes are stunning (a huge understatement), and I couldn't be happier with how this campaign turned out. It was shot by the amazing Hana Haley. I love the whole aesthetic and couldn't be more pleased to have been a part of this shoot! You can watch a cute behind-the-scenes video of the shoot by Ian & Sofia Hultquist (who I've actually shot before here and here).
THE MAKEUP
The model for the shoot was the beautiful Laura Kelsey, and it was so fun to do this seventies-meets-modern-LA look on her. I used Benefit's Oxygen Wow on her skin, MAC Omega on her brows, a mixture of the bronze-y shades from the LORAC Pro Palette, LORAC's lipstick in Duchess (for the more muted look) and Topshop's Lipstick in Brighton Rock (for the bright pink lip), Benefit Watts Up! on her cheekbones, brow bones and bridge of her nose, Benefit's Dallas as a bronzer, and Tipsy by Tarte for blush. I made her a custom mascara to bring out her eyes, by mixing several gel liner shades, to get her perfect color. I added a few Ardell individual lashes just to the outer corners of her eyes.
THE HAIR
For Laura's hair, I waved it with a flat iron and sprayed a generous amount of Love + Salt by Olivine into her ends. I scrunched her hair to create a tousled, slept-in look. I finished with a bit of Fekkai Glossing CrΓ©me for shine.
